My updated show-reel for 2011 showing a representational range of pipeline and content creation skills. This is far from an exhaustive list of example material but shows my most up to date work (The character model used is not my work).
Breakdown:
"Pluto" DCC tools deployment and synchronization. Fully integrated support for Maya. Wraps around Perforce framework for internal scripts and plugins (keeps all content creators up to date and consistent with one another)
"Biped Guide" scalable complexity auto skeleton creation. Generates robust skeleton hierarchy for use with the Auto Rig process. Joint orientations solved with custom solution allowing artists to precisely define up vectors for fingers and hands (for non-axially aligned neutral pose on hands, legs and arms)
"Auto Rig" bespoke rigging solution. One click rigging of bipedal characters. Scales automatically according to structure of Biped Guide generated skeleton. Clean and robust solution offering standard rig controls. Makes use of custom rig control object developed as a Python plugin for Maya offering extensive customization of animator controls.
"Puppet Studio" scene management interface for accessing and working with Puppet resources.
"Audi R8 hard surface modeling" shows my capacity as a Technical Artist to also create art content. Since my day to day is 80% technical work and problem solving, I like to keep my artistic skills as polished as possible.
